1971 Buick Riviera GS with Rare Sliding Steel Factory Sunroof – California Classic Boat Tail – FOR SALE

I am reluctantly selling my 1971 Buick Riviera GS with an Ultra Rare Factory Sliding Steel Sunroof, Bucket Seats and Floor Shift Console that I have owned for 25 years. I have owned and built many of these 71 Rivieras but this one, I decided to turn into a Gentlemans Hot Rod / Resto Mod many years ago. 261

I purchased this car 25 years ago from the original owner who purchased it brand new from O’Donnell Buick in San Gabriel, CA. It has been never stored outside so the trunk and interior floors are in very nice condition. When the car was 2 years old, it was stolen but when recovered and returned to the original owner, the motor and transmission were missing. I installed a high performance, 454 engine with 4 bolt main that I had professionally rebuilt which is now a 502. A professionally built 700 R4 race transmission was installed. I also changed the rear end to a Posi from 96 SS Impala, rebuilt it and added 3:73 gears. The car now has 4 wheel disc brakes which are in great working order. It also has heavy duty front and rear sway bars and air ride suspension on all 4 wheels. 015

The car was completely disassembled and painted professionally in a 1 year only Porsche color. When I purchased it, it had all original factory paint in Copper Mist Metallic a Riviera ONLY color. The car was blocked to laser straightness, painted then all panels were then reassembled. All the jambs are perfect as this was not a quickie paint job. Cost for this was $12,000. I also had the Original Bucket Seats recovered in the correct vinyl – as pictured. Soon after receiving the car from the restoration shop, I became very busy with my business and because of this, the car sat in my warehouse for many years, unfinished. Unfortunately, it has suffered from various people bumping into it as they walked by or by denting it here and there so the car really should be repainted again in in the same color or any color you choose. It was also bumped in the front and because the bumper had not yet been installed, the car suffered some minor front end damage which still needs some attention.

This car is complete, and I have mostly all parts to reassemble – some of which are NOS GM Parts. Before it was painted, I drove this car for about 500 miles with all the performance upgrades already installed as indicated and it was a real blast to drive. It handled extremely well, unlike any other Riviera. In it’s current condition, it runs, drives, starts and stops but needs to be finished before it can be driven on the street again. Features are as follows:

* Rust free California Car since new

1925 NASH AJAX – ADVANCE SIX – Partial Restoration Project For Sale

Up for sale today, located in FORT LAUDERDALE FLORIDA is an Extremely Rare 1925 NASH AJAX Advance Six, Closed Sedan, in extremely nice, partially restored condition. The last photo is obviously NOT the one offered for sale. It is only for your reference only so you can see what the car could look like if finished. The other pictures are of the actual car.

This car was collector owned for many years and he had a very large collection of Antique Cars. All major restoration has already been performed as follows:

Body off Frame Restoration
Rebuilt Brakes and Suspension
Cleaned, Detailed and Painted Frame
Completely Rebuilt Engine – Rings, Bearings, Pistons, Valves
Rebuilt Transmission
Rebuilt Rear End with new bearings, seals, etc.
All new wood
New Radiator with correct original style core
Mostly Original N.O.S. parts used.
5 – Very Rare Solid Steel Wheels (nicely detailed and painted in correct 2 tone green with AJAX Center Caps
Front and Rear Bumpers included (in straight condition).
Much more

The restoration began many years ago by a noted Classic Car collector as a Body Off, frame up restoration. Frame and suspension has been completely restored along with the braking system. The body and fenders have all been repainted and the body is very straight, but in my opinion, could use respraying again because there are some scratches and other flaws from sitting around for a long time.

There are a few minor items missing but the car is mostly complete. All of the hard to find parts are there.

To finish, needs new glass made from original glass which is provided, Roof Covering, Interior Upholstery, New Running Boards and a few other things. Very simple to complete. Great Father and Son Project.

There is a great article on the 1925-26 Nash Ajax which appeared in Hemmings Motor News if interested. https://www.hemmings.com/magazine/hcc/2015/09/Advanced-Ajax—1926-Nash-Light-Six/3748885.html

Clean Title, Owners Manual, Original Registration dating back to 1927.

Asking $8500 or best offer. May consider interesting trade of lesser value and partial cash.

Consider a short vacation to South Florida to have a look at the car and stay for awhile.
